This beautiful cloak style Korowai is made from feathers, just like a traditional kahu huruhuru of days of old. It is bound at the top with a Taniko band.
Please note that the correct Maori name for a feather cloak is kahu huruhuru, but many people, including Maori, most commonly refer to it as a Korowai.
All our Korowai are made in Aotearoa, New Zealand, by a Maori Ngati Hine wahine. They are made using a sewing machine. This style is not hand woven.
Please note that if we are out of stock at the time you order, please allow 2-3 weeks to be made.
